As well as my other interets I am a long established Guide for Bath. As a Mayor of Bath's Honorary Guide I escort visitors around the city telling them about its history and architecture and showing them the famous buildings pictured on every postcard and Guidebook. But I also show them the unfamiliar places which the general visitor never gets to see! the nooks and crannies, the little cobbled streets and the stories that go to make up somewhere very special.
And I Guide Number One, the Royal Crescent. This beautiful Grade One listed building is the Georgian House Museum where you can see how the people of that age lived and worked. The stately drawing room and the more homely parlour; the lady's bedroom and the kitchen, complete with it's cooking utensils, most of which we still use today. This is a lovely experience and I enjoy being there and meeting visitors from around the world, especially those who also have stories to tell.
